New Year Goals/Updates

hi! it's been a long while. Happy (super late) new year to you all, and happy (late) lunar new year to those who celebrate it!

this post is a list of things to look forward to from me regarding this website, art, and game dev.

Goals And Whatnot

first off, thank you visiting my site. It's not a very glamorous site and can really, really use a makeover of sort. But, I do hope you find whatever is in here somewhat interesting.

Next, the upcoming plans:

  1. i would like to complete the bio for each significant pokemon that i've doodled before.
Currently, there is only one bio that has content in it. Ideally, i would love to have all of them ready, but the reality is that i didn't plan too much ahead for most of them.
Tentatively, i would want at least 5 of the bio ready by the end of this year. Minimally, i would like to redraw the character selection picture and have all the protraits ready. i can't wait to share my little headcanons.
  2. i would like write more posts, other than update posts like these.
A series of posts that i would like to start is called Fragments of Assortment Memories, or FoAM for short. These posts will be talking about some old memories that randomly pops up in my mind regarding the internet, art, and games. i'm not sure how this will go, yet i am compelled to do this. So, stay tuned!
  3. upload more old doodles.
Seriously, there are still quite a number of old doodles that i haven't post and i really want to share them.
  4. spice up the pages with background and images.
Currently, there are only flat colours, which is kinda boring. i'm planning to draw some background to make it less so. i have something in mind, but it will take some time to experiment.
  5. if you didn't know already, i am planning to release a game by the end of this year: Bunny's Spelunking Adventure. It is basically a remake of Hannah and the Pirate Caves, which started off as a learning project. This is to conclude the project and move on. It's not going to be a pretty game, but i do hope it would be at least an enjoyable game. It will be released on my itch.io page, plus it will be free and open source. In fact, it already is open source! Check it out here.
  6. following point 5, i have been working on the version 2 of the existing game engine code. The goal is to improve on the existing code and insert more features that i like to experiment with. i do have a game in mind for this engine, but i'll keep it with me for now. Similar to the first project, it will be open source from the get-go if you are interested in checking out the potential eldritch horror of a codebase.

and that should be it! i hope i can achieve most, if not all, of these goals. Until then, see ya around.
