About

A litwick that move into Willowgrove Village from the big city. Their family is fairly well-off but can be a little... eccentric. Pepper is usually seen as an outcast, until they met Cinnamon.

They are somewhat socially awkward, usually only chatting with Cinnamon and Chihiro. Most of the time, they can be found reading and keep to themself. They are a little hot-headed and tend to jump to conclusions too quickly, which has bite them in the back in the past.

Relationship

• Cinnamon the Pumpkaboo

  The first mon to genuinely accepts and befriends them. They are fiercely loyal to him and will fight for him. Secretly, they admire Cinnamon's social capability.

• Chihiro the Cherrim

  Basically friend by proxy, thanks to Cinnamon. They find Chihiro a little too 'hyperactive', but enjoys her presence nonetheless.

Moveset and Abilities

Pepper prefers to overwhelm the opponent with sheer power. Generally, they will try to nail the opponent with their fire moves, particularly Flame Burst.

Due to their slow speed, they are easily outclass by speedsters. They also have a hard time with AoE attack as their dodging capabilities are sub-par at best.

Innate: Soul Flame

Being a fire-ghost mon, they are capable of using their soul to conjure flames that consumes souls on contact, in addition to regular flames.

Ability: Flame Body

Any mon that come in contact with Pepper may be burned. However, Pepper can actively control it, and has done so to warm up Cinnamon sometimes.

The ability also grants a slight boost in Pepper's fire affinity, which increases their fire attack and chances to inflict burn.

Notable moves

• Flame Burst: Their current signature attack. They fire a burst of flames at the opponent. On impact, it explodes to cause collateral damage.
• Fire Spin: Pepper fires a flaming spiral that traps the opponent. Occasionally, a lite version is used to repel engaging opponent/projectile by spinning a flame on the spot.
• Curse: ...maybe I'll talk about it one day when I'm ready.

Author's Comment

back when Pokemon Black and White was announced, the litwick line really piqued my intereset. The aesthetic of a candle and chandelier being ghost types appealed to me. For some time, it was my most favourite, until the pumpkaboo line was introduced. Both lines are still my favourite though.

i see Pepper is that 'quiet kid' in the group, though less lethal. Usually, no one really knows how to engage with them, either others find them non-talkative, or their interest are niche enough that there isn't a common ground for a chat. It is possible that this is part of the reason why Pepper's family have moved into this village, in an attempt to get Pepper to mingle more.

thankfully, they managed to befriend Cinnamon and Chihiro and slowly got better with socialising, much to their parents' relief. Pepper still have ways to go, but they do try with the help of Cinnamon and Chihiro.

basically, i want to portray the awkwardness of Pepper without devolving into angsty-ness and drama.
